The Model 181 platen is used for hotmelt applications that require a platen temperature of 425º, or less. It has 4,663 square inches of heat transfer area, which is double the size of competitors’ platens. More heat transfer area means higher melt rates and higher throughput. Uniflow melt rates are frequently 50% – 100% higher than other drum unloaders.
